Hemp Seeds Market
During 4 successful growing seasons, each of our hemp seeds has been cultivated at an outdoor farm based in Colorado. As one of the first states to legalize cannabis, Colorado was listed as the top producer of hemp in the U.S. in 2017 and is on track to keep their top spot. Our seeds have been registered by the Colorado State Department of Agriculture and are compliant under USDA regulations. Each of our seeds has been legally certified for variety, dormancy, germination, and CBD potency. Over the past 4 years, all of our plants tested successfully at 0.3% THC, which is under the legal limit. When cultivated properly, our seeds will produce an average of 12% to 14% CBD, once fully matured.

Our hemp seeds are derived from a hybrid strain of hemp from the original Cherry Wine variety. By maintaining a 95% germination rate and staying weed-free at 99.9%, this particular breed is in very high demand. Another benefit of the Cherry Wine variety is that it’s well-known for producing quality levels of terpenes, flavonoids, and most notably, high volumes of CBD with only minimal traces of THC. We recommend that you start with clones initially and only plant females, as all of these seeds are non-feminized. An alternative option is to plant them all while removing the male plants during the growing season. If this variety were “feminized”, the costs would be as high as $40,000 per pound. The average ratio of female to male is 73:27. You can rest assured that our seed stock has no cross-pollination contamination issues.
Expected Yield Rates
As long as these seeds are planted properly, and the male plants are removed quickly, the yield should result in 2,000 to 2,500 pounds of high, CBD-based hemp flowers per acre. The average volume for plant production in this industry starts as low as 1,000 – 1,300 pounds per acre. We are on the high-end of the scale for production volume (up to 2,500 pounds), which proves quite lucrative for growers. The hardest part was already completed when the seeds were cultivated. In a market that is still wide open, farmers only need to purchase their hemp seed supply to start the process and later reap the returns.
Current Market Rates
Since February of 2019, the high-CBD hemp flower has been selling for $3.50 to $4.50/pound, per percentage of CBD. Here is how the math works: If an acre yields 2500 lbs., multiply that value by $4.50 per pound. Take that total and multiply by a 14% maximum CBD, resulting in a market rate of $157,500 in revenue per acre. Sales Example: (2500 x $4.50 per lb.) x 14% = $157,500. By taking your hemp flower product to a processor, this will yield higher revenues as CBD isolate, which is presently selling at market pricing for $6,500/kg; once the THC is removed, full spectrum distillate can sell for up to $9,000/liter.
